Job Description

The Army National Guard is a governor's go-to resource during a community's time of need. The Public Affairs Specialist participates in and assists with the supervision and administration of public affairs programs through news releases, newspaper articles, web-based material, and photographs for use in military and civilian news media. Public Affairs Specialists learn how to research, prepare, and distribute news releases; gather information for news programs and publications; develop ideas for news articles; conduct interviews; and write news releases, feature articles, and editorials.
