Summary: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Resource Development Leader will provide organizational leadership by innovating and implementing new processes to improve the financial foundation and the volunteer program for the Door County Habitat for Humanity. This individual will be responsible for planning, developing, and leading a comprehensive annual fundraising campaign and other funding events which will involve corporations, local businesses, individual donors and grant writing. They shall also oversee all aspects of volunteer recruitment and retention. The Resource Development Leader must be a strong communicator, effective relationship builder, and a results-oriented team player. Key Responsibilities: ?? Develop and implement annual campaign, fundraising events and grant writing that will include goals, objectives and strategies to increase revenues and participation in events?? Time commitment of 75% fundraising and 25% volunteerism - these goals are subject to change under direction of the Executive Director?? Maintain donor and volunteer database?? Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for volunteers?? Recruit and train new volunteers, promptly process background checks and data entry. ?? Hold new volunteer orientations monthly (or as needed) ?? Maintain volunteer schedules for the ReStore, construction/home preservation and the office?? Coordinate the distribution and analysis of an annual Volunteer Survey ?? Continually work to improve the donor and volunteer recognition and retention programs and ensure that donors and volunteers know they are important, valued, heard and cared for?? Work strategically with the Executive Director to advance our partnerships with local businesses and congregations ?? Attend all applicable Habitat events and various community events to represent Habitat for Humanity within the community?? Share information about Habitat's work through community presentations Skills and personal characteristics:?? Experience coordinating in a volunteer and donor environment ?? Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse groups and individuals ?? Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as open to learning new software ?? Organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail, follow-through and ability to execute complex processes accurately ?? Able to deal effectively with stressful situations and a wide variety of people ?? Patient, nurturing leader with strong training and delegation skills ?? Reliable, honest and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality ?? Friendly, approachable and engaging personality ?? Self-motivated and curious, with a love of learning ?? Creative and productive in a collaborative work environment ?? Belief in and ability to commit to the mission of Habitat for Humanity?? Knowledge of and experience with social media ?? Familiar with donor and volunteer resources, programs and opportunities Requirements:?? College degree preferred ?? Driver's license and use of a personal vehicle ?? Will consider prior experience.?? Experience in non-profit leadership, fund development and volunteer coordination
