IT SUPPORT ENGINEER
Job Description
NHT is currently looking for IT Support Engineers to join their team in Spearfish. The IT Support Engineers are key members of a team-oriented staff and share the responsibility of providing the clients of Northern Hills Technology with computing and support services.
These are combination Onsite/Helpdesk roles and frequent travel (50%) to client sites will be needed for escalated issues. The ideal persons for these positions likes fast-paced environments, thinks outside the box to problem solve, possesses strong communication and technical skills, and thrives in a team environment.
Compensation:
Compensation package for these positions are commensurate with experience, qualifications and certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and implement solutions to meet the needs of various businesses, industries and organizations.
- Utilize industry leading PSA, RMM and remote management tools to assist and track client issues.
- Provide both onsite and remote technical assistance to customer base.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced virtual, desktop, software, server, VoIP, cloud and network issues.
- Assist clients with the installation, configuration, training and ongoing usability of technology systems.
- Perform monitoring and preventative maintenance on customer equipment and services.
Managerial Position:
- Co-Manage a team of technical support technicians including selecting, training and supervising, as well as assisting with the selection, training and supervision of support technicians and outside consultants.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in an IT support role.
- Solid MS Windows 10/7 experience with in depth knowledge of MS Cloud applications & management.
- Hands-on experience with Virtualization, Windows 2016/2012/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, O365, Backup Technologies, Antivirus, Internet DNS/E-mail/Communication Issues, Switching, Routing, PSA platforms, RMM tools and Customer Helpdesk.
- Microsoft and other Technical & Product Certifications are highly desired.

- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Position requires occasional use of headset/microphone.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 75lbs) is required.
- Frequent travel to client locations is required.
