IT Infrastructure Manager

Job Title: IT Infrastructure ManagerReports to: IT DirectorLocation: Pewaukee, WisconsinPosition SummaryGustave A. Larson Company is the Midwest, Plains, and Mountain States leading wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts, and supplies. Under the direction of the IT Director, the Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for supporting two datacenters and 52 remote branches, troubleshooting/resolving technical issues, implementing and maintaining networking, and hardware and software systems.Primary Responsibilities Collaborate with the functional areas of the business by providing sound technical solutions to business problems and provide a vision & strategy to grow the business. Lead a team of Help Desk Technicians providing a responsive, professional, highly-personable technical support service group to the business. Mentor the team on more complex technical issues that require escalation. Accountable in the setup, operations and maintenance/patching of GA Larson primary & secondary datacenters. Implement IT best practices, concepts, and methodologies with a strong commitment to internal Customer Service. Participate in rotating after-hours/on-call support about one week per month (very few calls), weekend migration projects, and monthly server patching.Qualification Requirements Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development with at least two years of experience in managing an IT Team. Ability to view IT as a strategic partner to both company leadership as well as customers. Knowledge and hands-on experience: Implementing, configuring, troubleshooting and tuning servers in a virtualized environment. Windows Server, Active Directory, and configuring Group Policy. Endpoint Protection, cyber security, and backup software solutions. SSL Certificates and setting up/maintaining website security with DMZ. Switching and routing technologies in a MPLS or SD-WAN network architecture (QoS, High Availability/redundant configuration, bandwidth utilization, web filtering, firewalls, etc) Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and work collaboratively with other IT staff toward common goals. Resolve technical issues and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Accountable to proactively prevent issues, keep systems up to date, and automate manual processes.Education And/or Experience A degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems Minimum 5 years related IT work experience. Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards, including, but not limited to:Windows 2012R2 Server EnvironmentSQL Server 2014RDS FarmsShoretel VOIP systemMDM - Mobile experience a plusMPLS networking architecture transitioning to a SD-WAN architecture.Ntanix HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure) experience a plusTravel Expectations About 5% of your time will be spent moving a branch to a new location. A few days of travel will be required to assist in that move of the IT equipment at that branch.
