Construction Project Manager

Gabor Design Build, one of Milwaukee's fasted growing remodeling businesses, is looking for an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate will harbor a passion for the design and construction process, and will use his or her creativity to manage projects. This position includes both hands-on and administrative duties overseeing multiple projects at once. Each day will bring different challenges and tasks in keeping track of schedules and project progress. The Project Manager oversees each project from conception to the finished structure, interfacing with both construction professionals and the client. Work with the project team from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision?? Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget?? Create the schedule for each project and match internal & external talent to the job?? Ensure resource availability and allocation?? Develop, estimate and process change orders for clients?? Collaborate with the Project Design Team, Interior Designers and sub-contractors to ensure feasibility of each project?? Conduct meetings on-site with client and field crew?? Communicate regularly with the client and project team via verbal and written updates?? Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors?? Prepare and submit project estimates to clients Requirements?? Minimum of 3 years proven working experience in construction management?? Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment?? Understanding of all facets of the construction process?? Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills?? Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets?? Extensive experience managing budgets for large construction projects?? Competent in conflict and crisis management??
