JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting a variety of statistical and clinical data. A crucial requirement will be to analyze trends and outcomes within the data and provide answers and possible solutions for the consumer. This data will be reported accurately and timely.

• This position is based in the Enterprise Data & Analytics department and primarily works with data associated with the health system’s Quality department. Specifically, the Senior BI Analyst - Quality role includes the following key responsibilities:Co-manage, with Quality, all regulatory and payer sponsored quality program data requirements including, but not limited to, CMS MIPS, CPC+ and MN Community Measures.
• Primary EDA quality data representative with:CMS, payer and other quality program sponsors.Sanford enterprise and regional Quality teams. Sanford Payer Contracting department.Sanford Grants department.Sanford IT, Clinical Services and Clinical Operations.
• Facilitate all Quality Data Validation activities to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Facilitate all Quality Data Analysis activities to identify and communicate data trends, patterns, opportunities, etc.
• Facilitate all Quality Data Governance activities to coordinate opportunities, requirements & compliance.
• Facilitate all Data Presentation activities (e.g. visualization, storytelling).
• Facilitate all Patient Attribution activities to ensure accuracy for all dependent systems and processes.
• Coordinate all required report development and other data & analytics resources in support of analyst role and stakeholder deliverables.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the mission, vision, and objectives of their department or unit. Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of the data and arrive at conclusions. Under guidance, serves as a mentor. Perceives lack of audience comprehension and further simplifies explanation when needed. Analyzes and interprets common statistical data and reports. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Generates and interprets basic statistical data. Recognizes ethical requirements within own area of responsibility. Demonstrates ability to get things done in own unit or area. Provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data science, computer science, statistics, or STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Math) related majors.
Past experience commensurate with area of responsibility required, or eight years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Strong background in practical statistics is preferred.
Clinical experience or familiarity preferred.
Electronic medical record experience preferred.
