Job Summary

The Principal Software Architect in the Applications Development (AD) team will work with high-quality software development teams using new technologies (web and mobile), DevOps, serverless, agile, industry standards using Cloud/Mobile/API first approaches. Works closely with the leadership and development team of multiple software groups within this group. As a member of the Applications Development team, responsible for converting concepts into the next generation of applications utilizing adaptive agile methodologies to deliver the minimal viable product to the business in record time. Actively bring consistency, robustness, scalability, and vision.
Responsible for developing software architecture standards, applying strategies to enable systematic testing and validation processes, including automated unit testing, as well as defining internal and external (customer-facing) software update policies and procedures.
Demonstrates experience in software design with the communication and leadership skills to lead and influence software development teams. Hands on coding experience and deep understanding of the software development process, associated technologies and platforms and the secure software development lifecycle (S-SDLC). Overall responsibility for technical leading of software development teams working on new product development project(s) and sustaining engineering to support current projects in the field of Healthcare.
Demonstrates thorough abilities and success in the following areas: software development in Java/JEE or C#/ .NET, web and middleware integration technologies like web services, RESTful APIs, MQ, MQTT and message brokers; synchronous and asynchronous messaging and publish/subscribe integration patterns; relational database modelling and management including Oracle, SQL server, PostgreSQL, SQL, JDBC, NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, MongoDB or CouchDB; application development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate and AngularJS; application servers such as Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic and JBoss; SDLC tools like Maven, Ant, SVN/Git and Jira; web services and API testing tools like SoapUI; implementing API Security and Access Control (OAuth/SAML, Web SSO, SSL etc.) and experience with SOA, Restful and Micro services technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required. Consideration will be given candidates with minimum six years work experience in lieu of degree.
Expert level experience with designing and programming with C, C++, C# with very strong understanding of object-oriented design/programming, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and communication protocols. Experience with IoT, mobile and web/cloud-based technologies. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development process in a team environment.
