The construction project manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities pertaining to the construction and maintenance of solar projects in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. Job Responsibilities Organizes, plans, directs, coordinates and reports onsite construction activities. Leads the construction effort from estimating, management and scheduling Manages all sub-contractors for timely completion, quality; ensures project is built according to plans, specifications, schedule and budget. Directs and supervises field personnel with daily schedules including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Manage all construction for a Community Solar Garden site, including at least 3-5 crews of: 1 Journeyman 1 Operator 2 Electrical Apprentices Negotiates pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to fall within industry market pricing and provides competitive customer bid. Develops and maintains quality relationships with Utility Companies and provides timely communication regarding schedule, inspections, energization and interconnections. Reads, interprets and understands all project documentation such as insurance, permitting and project scheduling Documents delays/changes; sets up staging areas as needed
Maintain and monitor quality standards Reports to the management team all projects progress, new issues, resolutions, and budget and schedule compliance on a consistent basis Acts as a trouble shooter on current projects Provides and arranges timely and efficient mechanical and technical customer service during project's warranty period. Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA and/or MSHA safety standards Seeks cost savings through vendor negotiations, market analysis, and eliminating waste. Provides daily reports to the Construction Director Maintains a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. Must be able to drive a vehicle.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week and may require longer hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is to be expected.
Required Education and Experience Associates degree or comparable experience in construction technology
Two years minimum of supervisory experience in related field
Experience working on +1MW Solar Projects
Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work Proficiency with reading blue prints, plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field OSHA 30 Certified Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record Proficiency in MS Office Experience with Vista Viewpoint
