Water Treatment Design Engineer

The Dramm Corporation (established in 1941) is a family-owned business and manufactures and distributes a complete line of professional green house toolsand equipment throughout the world.
The Dramm Corporation is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Water Division as a Water Treatment Design Engineer. Dramm water uses creative solutions to improve the health of green house water which improves the health of plants. The role of the Water Treatment Design Engineer will involve close communication and coordination with the Water Treatment Project Manager. You will prepare design layouts and product configurations of equipment using Solidworks and work collectively with procurement and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities????? Produce general arrangements and piping design per establishedindustry standards?? Conduct the specification and sizing of internally designed orexternally purchased fluid handling components (tanks, piping, pumps, valves,flow & pressure sensors, etc.)?? Integrate components into product system designs that meet thecustomer requirements?? Self-manage through the design to meet project milestones forhighly complex projects?? Participate in cross-functional design collaboration as part ofa team in developing new products and improvements?? Assist in ordering and shipping components?? Develop solutions to problems in order to meet customerrequirements?? Perform other duties as assigned including product developmentprojects
Qualifications
?? Bachelors of Science degree in engineering; Mechanical Engineeringis preferred (other engineering disciplines considered based upon relevantindustry experience).?? Perform typical design hand calculations including pump sizing,flow velocity, etc.?? Solidworks 3-D modeling is required?? Excellent written and oral communication?? Competency with MS Office software and Solidworks?? Work efficiently with colleagues?? Ability to work collaboratively in the design process withmultiple levels in the organization?? A strong work ethic, an ability to self-start, and resultsoriented
