Progressive Metal Stamping Die and Tooling Design Engineer

This full time, permanent Progressive Metal Stamping Die and Tooling Design Engineer is at a growing, employee-friendly, flexible company where the average tenure is almost 20 years. 

This is a Monday through Friday position but the company can be flexible with start times.  Although the work is complex and hands on, there can still be the opportunity for some occasional work from home.  The employees are very collaborative and get along well with each other.  Employees love working here.  Along with the standard benefits, there is a very generous, profit-based bonus plan that all employees are eligible for.

This position reports to the Engineering Department Manager. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Designing progressive metal stamping dies with Solidworks
• Researching and designing manufacturing processes
• Addressing customer inquires
• Estimating timelines and costs
• Developing action plans to address die and tooling issues
• Participating in the training of others

The successful candidate will have the following background:

• 2 years of progressive metal stamping die design experience
• Fixture and tooling design experience
• Solidworks experience

Preferred but not required backgrounds may include any of the following:

• An engineering degree
• A Tool and Diemaker background
