Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) specializes in serving male and female children, adolescents and adults with complex psychiatric conditions that are often combined with challenging behaviors. Accountable for the nursing care provided and assumes responsibility of supervision of nursing staff and delegated functions.* Assumes leadership role in crisis management and assures that patient health and safety needs are met.* Assesses and provides individualized patient education as it relates to the patient's self-care needs.* Collaborates with the multidisciplinary and medical teams in treatment program/plan development. Develops specific nursing interventions which are congruent with the treatment needs identified in the individualized treatment plan and unit mission statement, and promotes a professional role for nursing within the team.
