Jack Link's Protein Snacks family of brands includes Jack Link's, Lorissa's Kitchen, World Kitchens Jerky, Bifi and Peperami.Job DescriptionThe Packaging Supervisor provides leadership/direction to lead the department and ensures staffing and schedules are adhered to. They are to follow the production schedule and keep team members focused on completing orders. They are to check on each team member within their room to make sure their work environment is satisfactory. Completes documentation and carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.QualificationsPerform all required duties in order to comply with USDA regulations.Coordinate all functions related to the operations of all packaging procedures and specifications.Understand and perform all procedures to correctly and efficiently produce product in accordance with company regulatory standards.Recommend methods to improve manufacturing processes including equipment performance to ensure product quality.Suggest and implement changes in process to increase efficiencies and product quality.Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.Implement and monitor weekly requisitions for daily supplies.Complete and review all HACCP and SSOP requirements and paperwork. This includes, but not limited to, Pre-Operational Inspection, Operational Inspection, Pre-Shipment Review, and Corrective Actions.Conduct accurate weekly, period end, and year-end departmental inventories as required by the company.Perform production paperwork, receiving, and inventory control procedures with complete accuracy.Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language (speak, read, and write).Operate a Computer. Demonstrates basic knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteReview, correct, and approve timekeeping tool to ensure team members are paid correctly each pay period.Maintain attendance records, counsel employees with poor attendance, and follow up with coaching/discipline as appropriate.Ensure proper staffing is maintained, including interviewing and hiring new team members.Supervise, Direct, and Instruct Team Members.Ability to collaborate with remote employees and work as part of a team.Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related-problems.Ensure that all employees are adequately and properly trained in safety, sanitation procedures, chemical handling and GMP's, etc.Enforce all safety rules and company policies.3+ year's experience in a manufacturing settingExperience with Lean manufacturing conceptsPrevious supervision or management experienceAdditional InformationWork StatusFull Time Team MemberAt-Will Team MemberTravelNo Travel Required 0%EducationHigh School Diploma (or equivalent).Working ConditionsProduction Environment (normally).Stand or Walk Constantly.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to pull up to 1,500 lbs.Will need to enter production environment where team members are exposed to moderate cold (35-55 degrees) and loud noise levels.Drug TestingLink Snacks, Inc. forms a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.Link Snacks, Inc. performs drug screening after a reportable injury.The open shift is for 2nd Shift (Nights/Week)
