Edgewood Healthcare is currently seeking a compassionate and outgoing individual to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Baxter, MN building. The LPN provides direct quality clinical care for the residents and monitors care of the residents under the direction of the RN Manager.

Edgewood Healthcare is currently seeking a compassionate and outgoing individual to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Baxter, MN building. The LPN provides direct quality clinical care for the residents and monitors care of the residents under the direction of the RN Manager.
Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Delegates & assigns clinical services responsibilities to direct care staff, as appropriate.
- Prepares, administers and documents medications and treatments.
- Orders and receives medications from pharmacy.
- Contacts resident's physicians and record physicians' verbal orders.
- Monitors each resident's physical and mental functioning and charts via electronic computer charting or paper charting.

Minimum Requirements
A successful candidate possesses the following:
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Preference given for experience in a geriatric long-term care setting.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision, strong communication skills, and ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks.
- Must possess basic documenting skills via written English and computer competency to do resident charting and medication administration.
- Knowledge of standards of nursing practice and awareness of standards for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Understands and applies the assisted living rules and regulations and/or wiling/capable to learn.
