Agtegra Cooperative is seeking a Truck Logistics Coordinator to work with our Centralized Trucking Department.

Position Summary

Directs, coordinates, analyzes/evaluates the effectiveness of activities of transportation operations and makes revision as necessary to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dispatch Agtegra owned and third party trucks in Agtegra trade territory.
  • Audit freight bills to ensure correct rates have been charged and approve freight bills for processing.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of location management truck and transportation needs through creating close professional relationships with location management; develops and implements plans to meet those needs.
  • Determines the needs of producers for farm delivery of products, picks up product from the farm for transport to an elevator or ethanol plant by developing professional working relationships.
  • Analyze and adapt/re-route Agtegra truck routes as necessary to ensure maximum efficiency is reached, including optimum use of resources.
  • Develop forecast and logistics plan to meet the needs of the organization during peak periods such as Spring work and Harvest.
  • Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
  • Directs investigations into causes of customer or shipper complaints and responds accordingly.


Education and Experience Required
  • Associates degree from two-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Must be able to travel in and out of state on a frequent basis.
