About Us Waseda Farms' mission is to grow, cultivate, produce and distribute the best certified organic, sustainably and responsibly raised food available while educating families of the benefits of eating well. Waseda Farms is a family-owned Certified Organic farm in Baileys Harbor, WI raising Grass fed Black Angus Cattle, Berkshire Pigs, Poultry for eggs and we have a 2 acre seasonal garden. We currently have 1300 acres under management and are continuing to expand. Our farm has the first small scale Temple Grandin designed handling system ever built. We have a store on the farm, where we sell all our products, as well as, other locally produced products. We have a second store in De Pere where we process and distribute all our meat and eggs. We have an online store and we ship throughout the United States. We distribute our products to over 40 restaurants, stores and schools throughout Northeast Wisconsin and Illinois. You will be instrumental in helping people enjoy great food experiences in restaurants, schools and at home. About the Role We are looking for an energetic and ambitious professional to join our team as our first Sales and Distribution Executive. Your primary goal is sales and business development with current stakeholders as well as growing new accounts. You will also be actively involved with the distribution of our product from both our suppliers and to our customers. You will spend time during your training learning many facets of our business. As a small business, you may be asked to jump in and assist other departments. Building relationships is key to growth for you and the company. You will work local chefs, kitchen and store managers and business owners to have our products featured on their menus and shelves. Every day you will be educating people on why they should eat high quality, locally produced organic and sustainable food. You job will consist of the following activities: 40% - Sales and Business Development - Growing our current accounts and developing new ones30% - Relationship Building - With Chefs, Owners, and Store managers20% - Distribution - both from our suppliers and to our customers10% - Utility player - Willing to learn all aspects of the business and jump in where needed when asked Your success will dictate how fast you grow with us. Hopefully, you do such a good job with relationship building and sales that we need to hire someone to take over the distribution portion of your job. In the beginning you will do some of everything as we grow, and you will grow with us. Duties Achieve and exceed sales quotas within assigned territory.Create and implement a sales strategy that makes sure you meet personal sales goals, as well as those set-in place by Waseda Farms.Build and maintain strategic relationships with assigned customers and target customers through sales calls, participation in events, customer entertainment, etc.Communicate with current and potential customers on a regular basis, promoting products and services, providing solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity in your assigned sales territory.Identify and forecast opportunities and document customer contact and needs.Understand, Educate and promote Waseda Farms products, as well as, Organic, sustainable and local foods.Develop and present product deals, promotions and contracts/agreements as appropriate for each customer.Assist meat department with inventory managementWork with other team members and departments to coordinate all orders.Pick up product from processors and deliver orders to customers.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service2 years of outside sales or food service sales preferredA love of quality food and a belief in organic food.Positive Attitudetrong interpersonal, communication and time management skillsHighly organized and self motivatedMust posses the ability to self manage but also be willing to take direction as well. 21 years of age or olderAble to lift and carry 40lbs frequently - 60lbs occasionallyValid Drivers License and Clean Driving RecordBusiness, marketing or related professional degree preferred by not required.Competency using Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and outlook.
