Edgewood Healthcare is looking for a highly motivated individual to become the Environmental Services Director for our Jamestown, ND building. The Environmental Services Director is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of day-to-day functions of maintenance and environmental services, buildings and grounds, and vehicle operations for the property including areas such as heating, A/C, plumbing, electrical, and repair.

Edgewood Healthcare is looking for a highly motivated individual to become the Environmental Services Director for our Jamestown, ND building. The Environmental Services Director is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of day-to-day functions of maintenance and environmental services, buildings and grounds, and vehicle operations for the property including areas such as heating, A/C, plumbing, electrical, and repair.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate environmental services tasks and duties (encompassing building and property).
- Manage and/or perform routine maintenance and repair on the community and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, floor care, painting, installing artwork, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures
- Direct and/or perform service for heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Assures resident rooms are ready for move in by completing work orders to address paint, hardware, electrical, flooring, etc.
- Ensure compliance to allocated maintenance budget.
- Direct and/or perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways and surrounding sidewalks.
- Assist building leadership with emergency preparedness & fire prevention programs. Inspect work areas and equipment weekly. Direct evacuation/fire/tornado drills; assess response times and make recommendations.

Minimum Requirements
A successful applicant will possess:
- Associates degree in related field. Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated maintenance and repair knowledge/abilities.
- Previous sheetrock, painting, plumbing, light electrical and/or grounds keeping experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
- Strong communication interpersonal skills – verbal & written.
- Must be knowledgeable of state & federal laws, OSHA regulations, guidelines and standards applicable to building safety codes, and fire/life safety codes.
- Current driver’s license required.
