ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop key relationships with business leaders and develop a deep understanding of key business processes, strategies, and objectives
  • Develop and manage the relationship between IT and other stakeholders, with the goal of defining, planning, building, and assessing the IT investment portfolio
  • Develop, coordinate and communicate the processes necessary for implementing a project portfolio and prioritization methodology
  • Responsible for the maintenance and update of the project portfolio, to include scheduling, status, and resource requirements
  • Analyze project performance against planned schedule, cost, and ROI, and provide feedback to improve the estimation and justification processes
  • Act as Project Manager for projects, as assigned, using standard project management skills
  • Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resource
  • Act as a liaison and conduit for information flow between the IT organization and the rest of the enterprise community regarding project prioritization and status
  • Assist in ensuring timely and effective communication regarding the mapping of IT initiatives to business goals, including presenting complex information to senior IT and business management outlining project specifics
  • Proactively identify and present opportunities to senior IT and business management for applying developments in technology to the challenges faced by the business
  • Participate in the development of the IT annual operating plan and budget, and quarterly forecast updates
  • Collaborate with Business Systems, Infrastructure and Operations, and Support teams to ensure solution compatibility with company directions
  • Manage suppliers and supplier agreements providing products and services contributing to the Business Systems operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIRED FOR POSITION

  • A minimum of a B.A. /B.S. in computer science, business administration, or other relevant fields
  • PMI certification is highly desired
  • 10 years of progressive increase in responsibility within the systems and/or technologies covered by this position
  • 4 years of experience in project and program management
  • 4 years of direct management/supervisory experience

  • Must be able to effectively present information, influence, persuade and effectively respond to questions from various stakeholders
  • This person will have a distinctive blend of business, IT, financial, and communications skills, as this is a highly visible position
  • Customer service skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization required
  • Planning and organization - strong time management and planning skills to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork - must be able to lead inter-company and cross-functional teams to meet objectives
  • A dynamic personality that is not afraid to challenge others in a professional manner
  • Analytical skills - must possess strong self-sufficient technical problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong attention to details

  • Strong project management skills
  • Experienced in organizing, planning and executing large-scale IT projects from vision to implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors
  • Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to achieve results through influence and persuasion
  • Proven planning, organization, financial and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to create, articulate and execute strategies aligned to company objectives
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility
