Description

We are currently seeking a positive and motivated individual to work as a Housekeeper in our Jamestown, ND community.  Responsibilities of the Housekeeper position are maintaining cleanliness of the building, resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms.  

Specific job tasks include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
• Ensuring all rooms are cared for, cleaned thoroughly and inspected according to company standards.
• Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, counter tops, and sinks.
• Collect linen and assist in laundry when needed.
• Cleaning windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces.
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste and other rubbish.
• Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soaps and other products.
• Observe and report any potential safety hazards.
• Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines and OSHA standards.

Minimum Requirements

A successful candidate will be able to (or have the following) characteristics/abilities:

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Able to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident centered environment, which meet or exceed Edgewood's quality standards.
• Desire to work with seniors a must.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Competent in organizational, time management skills.
• Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all company and building procedures and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
