Hiring Department:  Athletic Department, Men's Hockey Program

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification:  $38,000 annual salary/ Benefited, Non-Exempt, Full-time
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision,  flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.

The University of North Dakota is seeking applicants for the Men's Hockey Player Personnel/Office Operations Coordinator position. This position will assist the Men's Hockey coaching staff with recruiting, events, planning and administrative tasks while adhering to NCHC and NCAA compliance guidelines. 

This position’s responsibilities could include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with the process of admitting student-athletes to UND through housing, admissions and NCAA/Clearinghouse,
  • Coordinate compliance with NCAA compliance logs, prospective student-athletes (PSA) lists, vehicle logs, CARA logs and scholarship management,
  • Complete all UND and NCAA documentation for coaches' recruiting travel,
  • Organize and maintain database files of recruits and student-athletes,
  • Collect, organize and mail information to recruits,
  • Assist with process of official and unoffical PSA visits,
  • Maintain and create the recruiting calendar and recruit lists,
  • Breakdown potential recruit film and create and maintain recruiting library,
  • Administration of the NLI Process,
  • Plan, organize and communicate meetings and events with staff, coaches, players, parents, alumni and external entities,
  • Plan and book all travel arrangements for coaching staff,
  • Coordinate and enhance social media platforms,
  • Organize and coordinate camps and clinics,
  • Follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations,
  • Other organizational and administrative duties as assigned by the head coach


Required Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and computer skills (Microsoft Excel & Word)
  • Must have effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni and general public
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Must have a commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations
  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes including having a valid driver's license

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 Year Associate's Degree
  • 2 years' experience running hockey camps
  • 3 years' experience coaching and teaching 14-20 year old advanced hockey players
  • 1 year coaching experience at the Midget level
  • 2 years' experience with XOS Hockey Editing Software
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of a criminal records background check


In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years' experience working with UND hockey program
  • 2 years' experience working with a team in NCAA Division I
  • Experience managing day-to-day expenses and projections related to the budgeting process
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
