Job Title: Landscape Design Specialist


La Rosa Landscape Company is a premiere landscape company servicing southeastern Wisconsin. We are currently seeking a landscape professional to join our team as a Landscape Design Specialist contributing to our Landscape Maintenance division. This position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance. This employee will be responsible for initiating the sales process beginning with initial client contact and distributing projects within out landscape maintenance division.


Responsibilities:

Regular involvement with flower planting, bed maintenance and other lawncare functions; assist with seasonal color and holiday decor operations.


Work closely with the Director of Maintenance to establish sales and production goals.


Demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to detail skills; maintain accurate project paperwork, records & receipts.


Work closely with the Director of Maintenance to establish sales and production goals.

Exhibit strong plant knowledge through plant identification, proper planting techniques and plant care.


Design property upgrades/enhancements; measure properties, estimate, bid and write proposals.


Interact with customers and coordinate with crew members to provide optimum services.

Conduct property inspections and quality control procedures.


Communicate effectively with customers and maintenance production staff to ensure quality work is performed to the satisfaction of the client.


Availability during winter months to participate in snow removal activities.


Maintain La Rosa's positive image in the industry through professional communication and interaction with clients, vendors and fellow employees.


Actively participate in decision making in the department and work to continually improve the departments operation.


Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality.


Assist with employee coaching, training and development within the landscape maintenance division.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

3-5 years of industry related experience

Valid WI state driver's license and acceptable driving record

Extensive knowledge about botany, growing seasons and climate zones is essential

Must have current WI state pesticide applicator license 3.0 (5.0 is desired)

A thorough knowledge of plant and hardscape materials

Knowledgeable of how to protect trees and plants from diseases and insect infestations

Out-of-the-box thinker and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong mathematical skills

Bilingual preferred; not required
