Electrical Project Manager / Estimator - Watford City, ND


EIM (Electrical Installation and Maintenance) is currently seeking an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to prepare full estimates on small, medium, large, and complex jobs including providing complete conceptual and final estimating input on total bid price for electrical work. Manage projects including developing electrical project budgets and schedule to project closeout. The successful person will also deal with owners, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical matters during negotiations and contract executions.

Responsibilities

  • Meet financial objectives by completing estimates, developing project budgets, bidding, tracking project expenses, evaluating project activity, and other related tasks
  • Support business development efforts by targeting the appropriate market and clients
  • Provide initial client/owner's contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project
  • Define projects objectives, create schedules, and oversee quality control through the entire project
  • Manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules to project closeout
  • Ensure appropriate materials, tools, personal protective equipment, and inventory are available to successfully complete projects
  • Manage electrical crews scheduling and communicate job expectations
  • Provide technical assistance to team members on complex projects
  • Assume responsibility for safety and assist in providing hands-on leadership to teams to ensure productivity and efficient use of materials & equipment
  • Perform emergency service call duties when necessary


Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical field
  • Industrial estimating experience
  • Project coordination/field supervising
  • Estimating software experience
  • Motor control and instrumentation experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrical License
  • Experience working with labor unions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in ConEst estimating software
