Typical Day in the Life

We are looking to add an Associate in our Mankato, MN office. A typical day as a Construction Specialist might include the following:

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, which includes client consultations, analysis and data gathering.
• Perform a nonintrusive, yet detailed engineering study of all the building items that can legitimately be depreciated on an accelerated timetable.
• Analyze architectural drawings, mechanical and electrical plans and other blueprints to segregate the structural and general building electrical and mechanical components from those linked to personal property.
• Work with business owners, building managers, architects, engineers, construction professionals and accountants on projects. Work with the cost segregation team, clients and partners to schedule projects and meet client deadlines.
• Participate in professional association meetings and forums.

 

Who You Are

• You have knowledge of contractor costs and building plans and have familiarity with the construction industry; you generally know how a building is put together.
• You have excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, staff and clients.
• You have strong attention to detail and are a multi-tasking master; there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
• You have the ability to organize information in an orderly fashion and have a willingness to tackle anything that comes up during a cost segregation study.
• You are open to travel and have the ability to regularly travel and work at locations around the Firm and at client locations.
• You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
