We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for Bluestem Brands to be located at our office in Eden Prairie, MN.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Sr. Business Analyst - eCommerce is a key member within a Product Team that works collaboratively in an Agile environment and focuses on improving our solutions for our retail websites. The Business Analyst will help our team understand, define, implement and measure new functionality that delivers on our business goals and improves our customers' experience. This role is highly cross-functional, and works closely with our internal Business, IT, Credit, Creative, and Merchandising groups and with external third party vendors while at the same time keeping the pulse of the core Product Team.

You will need to be able to work autonomously, have a history of successful product implementations and is results and metrics driven. You must have a solid understanding of process analysis, requirements gathering, systems design, and web-based solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with Product Management to represent and drive the strategic vision within the product team
  • Own the quality decision to move features from Test to a state for business approval
  • Provide adequate direction and information to the Delivery Manager to ensure team work is continually prioritized
  • Understand current state systems and business processes to become the subject matter expert for assigned areas, and adapt those processes to the desired future state where needed
  • Develop and present conceptual and functional models along with cross-functional process and system dependencies
  • Drive user training, documentation and post-implementation turnover to business and support personnel
  • Effectively demonstrate functionality to Stakeholders & Product owners to ensure business vision was implemented
  • Support team members in cross-functional tasks such as QA, UAT and defect triage
  • Function as the domain knowledge expert for Product Team
  • Lead the Product team through the SDLC
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal and external business partners and customers
  • Facilitate, defend and communicate user stories to development team.
  • Partner with internal partners to continuously prioritize a 2-3 month product backlog.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 6 years as a business analyst (including: experience defining and documenting business requirements, documenting current and future state process flows and recommending improvements, and developing and executing use/test cases)
  • Previous leadership experience within a project team
  • Significant experience with Agile methodology
  • Previous experience writing requirements within Behavior-Driven Development framework
  • Experience in SDLC activities for web technologies and a strong history of successful implementations
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities ranging from strategic to tactical tasks
  • Ability to delegate tasks to development
  • Deep understanding of web technologies and issues that arise around implementation
  • Confidence to dive in and learn new solutions and processes without much assistance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to adapt within a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to take ownership of the product team's work
  • An inquisitive and curious nature that drives you down a path of discovery
  • The ability to interpret tribal knowledge into articulate process documentation
  • Solid understanding, or ability to quickly grasp, systems design and architecture
