Jamestown, North Dakota (Skilled Nursing Care) campus proudly offers high quality living and exceptional resident service in a skilled nursing setting. We are currently seeking talented individuals to join the Eventide Jamestown leadership team.

Music Therapist.
This full-time exempt position will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing a music therapy program for residents in long term care. The music therapist will complete assessments, create treatment plans, and provide individual and group music therapy sessions to address the residents' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. The music therapist will be required to educate teammates, caregivers, family members, and residents about music therapy to create awareness and understanding within the organization and community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement goal focused music therapy sessions for individuals and groups with varying abilities and needs.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding music therapy techniques.
  • Adapt music therapy techniques, interventions, and materials to accommodate physical and cognitive limitations.
  • Develop creative individual and group music therapy sessions to address overall health and well-being
  • Evaluate music therapy treatment plans on an ongoing basis and adjust as appropriate to ensure residents are meeting their highest potential
  • Complete required documentation for all individual and group music therapy sessions and update medical records as appropriate
  • Coordinate with Activity Department in order to meet the objectives of the music therapy program
  • Provide educational in-services for staff and community events to promote the awareness and understanding of music therapy
  • Assess and recommend changes in processes and procedures related to music therapy
  • Maintain, store, and organize all music therapy equipment and materials

Education, Experience & Certificates
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music therapy from an accredited program
  • Board Certified Music Therapist, MT-BC
