The Business Analyst/Project Manager works within the Project Management Office (PMO) and provides deliverables within all aspects of project planning and execution on a variety of corporate strategic initiatives. The Business Analyst/Project Manager ensures proper stakeholder involvement on projects so that deliverables meet minimum standards for clarity and validation. Responsibilities include:
- Provides creative solutions for business challenges
- Primary ownership of significant activities and deliverables for critical components within strategic initiatives
- Builds partnerships and serve as the liaison with internal teams to effectively define, understand and deliver business solutions and value to the organization
- Work with business departments to provide support and coordination to ensure adoption of new systems and business processes in the environment
- Work to ensure stakeholder requirements are identified, documented and met, using various methods (requirements gathering, use cases, business rule development, etc.)
- Ensure success and integrity of the project's outcome by managing all aspect of deliverables creation and subsequent business transition requirements.
- Provide verbal and written communications regarding risks, and issues and make recommendations for remediation or change to the Executive Sponsor and/or organizational leadership
- Function as secondary Project Manager to provide cross-coverage to the project portfolio
- Prepare management reports, presentations, and related initiative measurements
- Helps and promotes organizational change
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in a formal analyst or Project Manager role working on enterprise-wide initiatives
- Certification and/or formal training preferred (CBAP, PMP)
- Strong knowledge and experience in formalized project methodologies (PMI, Agile, Scrum, etc.) with proven experience executing straightforward to complex projects
- Demonstrated well-developed strategic thinking and a customer service orientation
- Strong experience in successfully managing the creation of deliverables across a variety of significant cross-functional projects in parallel
- Ability to quickly understand enterprise and business segment processes
- Well-developed ability to build trust and strong relationships with customers (business partners)
- Well-developed ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership, usually through oral and written presentations
- Positive team player with exceptional soft skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel and proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Visio
