Summary:

Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer specializing in the specification and installation of industrial equipment. Ability to manage multiple complex equipment specification/installation or engineering projects with minimal direction. Candidates should be comfortable using AutoCAD and should have 5 years of experience in the specification, installation, maintenance, or trouble-shooting of industrial equipment or industrial infrastructure systems. Backgrounds should include a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, and several years of Project Management or equivalent experience. Project Manager/Engineers work in a team environment with other Engineers, Designers, Contractors, and Maintenance Staff to provide the equipment, the systems, and the infrastructure needed to successfully manufacture ATI's highly engineered products.

Essential Functions:

  • Create business cases with justifications based on project requests from users.
  • Develop complex project plans (schedules, resources, budgets/costs, charters).
  • Define and direct the work of cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively manage the development process (i.e. develop schedule/cycle time reduction techniques, process standards for improved predictability and speed, manage process globally/across multiple projects / locations, meet project and product cost goals).
  • Manage status report outs, milestones, and design reviews.
  • Develop and lead a risk and mitigation plan for projects.
  • Define and lead contingency option assessment when needed, then select and execute recovery plans.
  • Lead decisions specific to any of the projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance to implement new equipment and maintain existing equipment.

    Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • PMP ( Project Management Professional) or Business Analyst (BA) certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing technical projects in a manufacturing industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Business Analyst standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software (i.e. MS Project)
