Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Status:  $20/hour, Non-benefited, Non-Exempt, temporary position, October - February.  
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8-4:30 p.m.

Position Details:

This position will serve as an Office Assistant for the College of Engineering Dean’s Office and will manage calendars and provide direct support for the Dean and Associate & Assistant Deans.  The position may assist with making travel arrangements, responding to email inquiries and other correspondence, and assisting with special college events.  The position will also supervise hourly student office assistants and be responsible for maintaining office coverage from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
The position will also assist the College Business Officer with financial processing and monitoring payroll.  In addition, the position will with ENGR program needs including hiring hourly student graders and monitoring associated payroll.

  • Position requires a great deal of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a collaborative team. 
  • Must be motivated, willing to take on new projects, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Associate’s Degree or 2-3 years of college course work with a focus in business.
  • 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in higher education or customer service environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Successful completion of Criminal History Background check
