Job Description

Ryan Companies has an exciting new opportunity for a Training and Instructional Design Manager!

Do you have a passion for the growth and development of employees?If so, join a growing company and play a key role in shaping the learning experience of over 1,400 employees.

In this role, you would assist in the creation of new learning opportunities, refresh existing materials and programs, coordinate learning events, deliver content and evaluate existing programs to align training, enhance sustainability and increase impact. You would also:

  • Collaborate with our Director of L&D to evaluate current curriculum and programs and determine ways to increase the effectiveness of all established training efforts.
  • Partner with departmental subject matter experts to support their training needs.
  • Create engaging learning activities and course content for ILT and VILT courses, online curriculum, web-based learning platforms, and other programs as needed.
  • Facilitate and/or co-facilitate existing training sessions.
  • Research learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices and integrate those into professional application.
  • Evaluate and prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • To be a successful candidate, you must have at least 7 years' experience in both instructor-led training and instructional design. You will also have excellent presentation and public speaking skills. You will especially stand out if you:

  • Are an enterprising, diplomatic, and proactive problem solver.
  • Can partner with subject matter experts and interpret customer needs, and translate into learning
  • Are skilled in building and maintaining solid relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Have experience with learning management platforms and visual development tools (Captivate) and SCORM files.
  • Have excellent communication skills and can present ideas concisely, clearly, and effectively.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in organizational development or equivalent work experience.
