##Job Description**Objective:**Maximize wean to finish productivity and profitability through the daily execution of Pipestone's best management practices on wean to finish farms.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**1. Learn and develop animal care and management skills1. Follow all production protocols and procedures to maximize wean to finish production & efficiencies2. Ensure all animals are properly fed and have water available3. Perform daily observations of animals4. Become a skilled employee in animal husbandry to reduce stress of herd and maximize production5. Administer medications and vaccinations according to protocols and procedures6. Move animals using safe handling practices7. Receive, sort, and pen incoming animals8. Load out animals1. Communicate effectively with area employees and supervisor1. Follow task sheets and time frames to stay on task and meet time schedules during the workday2. Give daily input to supervisor in area on production and animal health concerns1. Complete production paperwork accurately and on time2. Work with supervisor to ensure completion of all work related injury paperwork and participate as necessary in accident investigation3. Daily recording of monitored production items1. Bio-Security Adherence1. Adhere to all bio-security protocols1. Safe Working Environment1. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines2. Make sure all safety equipment is in place and utilize equipment as required3. Learn and utilize accident prevention measures for designated area4. Consistently monitor animal welfare procedures1. Ventilation Controls1. Be aware of area ventilation system and if it is in good working order2. Regularly monitor the environment and provide input to achieve optimum comfort for the animals1. Facility Maintenance1. The facility must be maintained and well kept2. Complete routine maintenance as assigned on a daily basis3. Communicate non-routine repairs to supervisor**MARGINAL FUNCTIONS**1.
