Registered Nurse-OBGYN

Hiring Department: Center for Family Medicine, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Position is located in Bismarck, ND 
                        

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification:  $43,500/year, Full-time, Benefited, Exempt
Benefits:  Includes single or family health care coverage, basic life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave. Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, long term care insurance, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.
Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday  8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

• Direct patient to exam room in a polite and timely manner.
• Take a brief history, vital signs and record all medications and allergies.
• Schedule various procedures and or appointments with other physicians.
• Clarifies, implements and communicates physician orders with patients.
• Assist in gynecological procedures.
• Reports and tracks laboratory test results, and other diagnostic testing.

Competencies Required:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work closely with faculty and resident physicians.
• Able to work with patients and the public in a professional, confidential, and calm demeanor. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• RN licensure in the State of North Dakota. 
• One year experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Successful completion of criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years experience working in a family medicine or primary care clinical setting.
• Experience in clinical nursing procedures/operations.
• Experience in pre/post-surgical care.
