Description

This individual should have a basic knowledge in heavy civil drafting and 3D machine control technology with emphasis on creating 3D models.  The position is designed as an entry level into our 3D Modeling Department. Emphasis will be on gathering the required data to assemble a model (.dwg's, .pdf's, etc) and organizing the information to allow for a 3D Modeling Product Specialist to complete and send to the customer. Communication skills are a must as the role will require communication with the end-user, engineers, and team members to coordinate the completed model.


Specific Duties Include:
  • Gather necessary data to assemble for Modeling Product Specialist to complete the required file for the end-user
  • Assemble job folders for Modeling Product Specialist
  • Communicate Timelines and determine schedule for upcoming work with customers
  • Quote Estimated Completion dates and Pricing considering current work loads
  • Schedule awarded work and update the Modeling queue
  • Build the Modeling Contract and secure signature with Customer prior to sending models
  • Invoice all modeling work
  • Follow-up with customers on Takeoff/Model Success along with determining upcoming needs
  • Understanding of the “why" behind building 3D GPS Models
  • Basic knowledge of data preparation and presentation to 3D Modeling Product Specialist for final completion
  • Develop relationships and network throughout the industry to monitor and participate in all product activities. Be recognized as a solutions provider and a wealth of expertise for our customers.
  • Adhere to quality control system metrics for tracking pertinent performance expectations.
  • Attend any and all manufacturer trainings offered for hardware and software that pertain to support and internal processes.
  • Fully utilize the system capabilities of the Cisco phones and any potential integration with the business system.
  • Make recommendations for future support success based on hardware and software needs.
  • Receive and log all internal and external customer phone calls and provide support.
  • Communicate regularly with field teams on issues that are apparent with our Manufacturer Partner products and learn from them.
  • Seek additional sales, parts, and service opportunities for company and report those prospects to the appropriate parties.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Integrated Controls.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
