The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Facilities Planning & Management-Environment, Health, & Safety is recruiting for a Fire and Life Safety Specialist. A well-qualified candidate will have knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as they pertain to Fire and Life Safety issues (i.e. OSHA, IFC, NFPA, Wisconsin Administrative Code and Wisconsin State Statutes). Excellent verbal and written skills are essential. This position will exercise personal judgment and expertise in identifying code and good practice violations while explaining and negotiating appropriate remediation methods to faculty, staff and other stakeholders.
