Position Purpose: CARW is the voice of commercial real estate brokerage and related professionals in Wisconsin. Founded in 1993, CARW is dedicated to the success of our members by providing invaluable educational opportunities, countless networking experiences, data exchange, and public policy advocacy. The Marketing and Events Manager serves a critical role to the organization, managing many of the events that encourage information exchange and networking. The position is also responsible for day to day association operations and graphics that showcase the organization. Essential Functions: Event Planning: Serve as point of contact for social events and programming committees to make arrangements for all meetings, programs and events in coordination with the Membership Manager and President and CEO; Ensure that sponsor and attendee benefits are carried out for each event including registration of guests, signage, and other benefits as outlined; Ensure that event details and registration information is accurate and complete Manage all event manuals and materials; Attend and manage Association Golf outing including planning, coordination and committee engagement Maintain all board meeting materials and records for CARW and other commercial real estate associations. Graphics: Manage all association graphics libraries and ensure that design guidelines are followed; Design and coordinate all association graphics, sponsor forms, signage and website graphics Coordinate and lay out association event program books and guides Create and maintain association's visual materials Marketing / Communications: Coordinate and support event communication and design via online platforms Support social media efforts through the creation of content and graphics Support website updates and online forms Support and coordinate online newsletter and blog sites Operations / Administration: Event and sponsorship invoicing Weekly event payment reconciliation Monitoring of office systems and supplies inventory Other duties as assigned. Specialized Know-How and Requirements: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, design or a related field or equivalent knowledge and skills as would be attained through one to three years years of progressively responsible professional, non-profit or corporate experience is required; Experience with web-based technologies is preferred; Familiarity with the print production process, event planning and coordination is required; Proficiency in typical business applications such as Adobe Design Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and be comfortable working with programs including WordPress, Constant Contact and Survey Monkey; Ability to work independently and with limited oversight, managing competing priorities effectively and efficiently; Excellent interpersonal skills, social etiquette and comfort interacting in small and large group settings; Exceptional verbal written business communication skills including proofreading and editing; Superior organizational, time management and project management skills. Availability via email beyond office hours. Attention to detail and ability to ask for guidance. Mental/Physical Requirements: Position requires some travel during the work day, including travel from the office location to meeting sites as necessitated by events and/or committee meetings; Access to reliable transportation. Other Items: Hours for this position are between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with extended hours required for events. Pay for the position is between $37,500 and $45,000 depending on experience and annual bonus is available.
