Functional Project Manager

We have a client that is seeking a Project Manager to assist with the division of a company splitting into two. They will coordinate an overall project plan for site closure, including the movement of customers & products from the closing sites into an existing site, identify and resolve project execution issues, create detailed tracking and resolution of action plan items, present updates to the executive team and will travel between several of their facilities located in other states for a 6+ month project.

• Develop and coordinate an overall project plan for site closure including movement of customers and products from the closing sites into an existing site
• Work with each of the key functional leaders in the sites - Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, Program Management, Engineering, Customer Relationships, Real Estate, Taxes, Legal, Systems and several other functional areas - to ensure robust action plans are developed and being executed
• Provide updates on a regular schedule to the executive team on project progress and issues
• Identify and resolve project execution issues working with functional leaders
• Prepare detailed tracking and resolution of action plan items
• Coordinate any required external resources required to manage the project
• PMP required
• Six sigma or LEAN required
