Assistant Professor

Position Description:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North Dakota State University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the laboratory of Dr. Jagdish Singh, with appointment beginning on or after January 1st. 2020.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, teach and mentor graduate students, and participate in team-taught pharmaceutics/pharmacokinetics offered to pharmacy students. A highly competitive salary will be provided commensurate with qualifications and experience. Currently, the fast growing department has 13 faculty members, 30 doctoral students and 6 post-doctoral fellows/research associates, and participates in a NIH -funded ($11 million) Center of Biomedical Research Excellence. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in pharmaceutics or closely related field, have at least two years of postdoctoral experience with a strong record of scholarship, and possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with training and research expertise in areas that complement existing departmental strengths in drug delivery using nanoparticles/nanomicelles, drug and gene delivery for prevention and treatment of diabetes, drug and gene delivery to brain to treat neurodegenerative diseases and brain cancer.
