This position provides Human Resource support for facility operation with approximately 1400 employees located in Ripon, Wisconsin. The Human Resources Generalist is a Business Partner with company leadership. HR Business Partners first seek to understand the business needs of the organization and develop HR strategies to influence, support and achieve company objectives. A successful HR Generalist will be an organization change agent and employee champion using effective communication, integrated solutions and knowledge of appropriate company and legislative provisions. Responsibilities Manage and resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provide coaching to leadership on employee relations decisions. Organizes and maintains investigatory documents to support decisions. Partner with Operations Leadership to hire, retain and develop a labor force to meet the production needs of the business. Focus on creating an environment which engages and retains employees. Maintain a high level of visibility, accessibility and interaction with all team members. Implement and maintain training programs. Identify opportunities and recommend necessary skills training for the production workforce. Develop and deliver training programs as needed; including compliance training, leadership training programs, etc. Partner with leadership to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations. Assist in the development, implementation and interpretation of company policies and procedures. Administers and interprets labor agreement; participate in the grievance process and partner with the union in order to resolve matters. Support HR team in hiring efforts, including participation in interviewing and job fairs. Knowledge/Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required. At least 2 years of human resources experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience in a labor relations capacity which involved interpreting and explaining labor agreements, grievance issues and other labor relations activities is strongly preferred. Understanding of large volume manufacturing recruitment procedures. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is desired. Skills and Abilities: Excellent listening and influencing skills; able to build trusting relationships with all levels of the organization. Ability to understand the business needs and how Human Resources can influence and lead the organization to meet key objectives. Sound judgment to analyze situations and make appropriate decisions and/or recommendations. Proficient in Microsoft Office software required. Experience with SAP, Oracle or other HRIS system ideal. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities; excellent project management skills. Must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner. Effective presentation skills. Physical Requirements: Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
