Software Application Developer

PySpark developer & data analyst is responsible for implementing a new incentive engine for calculating provider incentives eligible and earned based on multiple criteria and business rules. Position will be required to understand encounter and clinical data sets and the data flows from upstream & downstream systems to ensure the incentive engine is accurately implemented. Relevant training will be provided on the systems involved.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position

Quickly understand the existing incentive engine, the processes and calculations used, and output reports

Analyze requirements to configure incentive rules, capture dynamic provider responses based on activity they completed, and implement business rules to compute incentive amounts (eligible and earned amounts) using PySpark in the big data environment.

Perform data analysis and testing of as needed

Integrate the new incentive processes with modules developed by other teams (on big data or other platforms)

Create a data model to support operational processing and reporting needs.

Create reports to track operational processes and monitor data quality

Deploy new incentive engine to production environment and tune performance as needed

Document design & technical implementation of processes and assist in a smooth transition to operating team

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?

Big data, Python, Spark, Hive, HBase, Oozie, SQL programming, data analysis, reporting (any)

What skills/attributes are a must have?

5 years of experience working with relational (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or similar databases)

2+ years of experience working with NoSQL databases (HBase, HIVE or similar)

2+ years of experience working on Python, Spark

2+ years of data analysis experience

High proficiency in SQL and experience handling large volumes of data

Experience with automating/scheduling processes in the big data platform

• 1+ years of experience with any reporting tools
