Marketing Communications Coordinator



We are seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator for a 12 month contract role with a leading client in Maplewood, MN. For this role, the primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
-Helps develop effective communication materials for 3M global corporate and targeted audience segments, including: all levels of 3M leaders and employees, non-3M workers, customers, vendors and external audiences.
-Organizes and executes communication activities including: designing/executing cross-media tactics (e.g.: eMail, presentations, web, video, etc.)
-Ensures tactics adhere to corporate branding guidelines
-Works with SMEs to build communication plans including goals, stakeholder analysis, target audience segmentation and communication tactics.
-Partners cross-functionally with colleagues to ensure alignment of program communication execution.
Basic Qualifications:
-Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
-Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Branding and/or Advertising.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


-High level of design skills in PowerPoint with the ability to quickly come up to speed on corporate guidelines for utilizing PowerPoint.
-Excellent verbal and written communication at multiple levels, strong project management skills, attention to detail, strong organization skills, problem solving and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
-Ability to translate project activity into meaningful communication objectives.
-Strong collaboration skills and customer/client-centric mindset combined with contagious enthusiasm and passion
Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or Mass Communication from an accredited university
-7-10 years of Corporate or Business Communications experience.
-Ability to translate strategic plan into execution of detailed tactical Communication Plan.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to persuade others in matrix environment.
-Proficient in Adobe software platforms (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
