Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo's more than 70 million global customers.

The WIMT data modeling team manages the design and deployment of multiple databases for Wells Fargo's Wealth and Investment Management group which includes Brokerage, Trust, Wealth, and Retirement. The team models databases for these business to support ongoing projects, deploys structures and provides support to application development team and end users. Provides ongoing performance management and refactoring of existing databases to ensure platform stability. Most work is performed against Oracle Exadata with some DB2, SQL Server and Teradata and MapR.

Provides the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and control of the organization's data. Handles and leads the most complex or critical data management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database design, integration, source-to-target mapping, data modeling and performance tuning. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide solutions, implementing long-range internal and enterprise-level data architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements and provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of database design and administration experience
  • 1+ year of Oracle experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 7+ years relational/3NF modeling
  • 4+ years SAP PowerDesigner, ERWin or ER/Studio Experience
  • Experience creating source to target mapping documents
  • 1+ year working on SQL Server 2012 or higher
  • 1+ year working on DB2 10 or higher
  • Experience tuning SQL for Oracle 11g or higher
  • Experience using automated build and release tools such as Harvest/Anthill or Git/uDeploy
