Job Summary

Responsible for identifying, developing, and presenting opportunities in support of the category management lifecycle for products and/or services. Serves as an advisor to internal customers and the Category Management team by providing decision support and recommendations across multiple clinical and/or business lines. Cultivates relationships with suppliers that maximize value and performance. Optimizes results through cross-functional collaboration. ***Sanford Health is seeking a Supply Chain Category Management Analyst responsible for sourcing and contracting products and/or services utilized across the enterprise. Key activities include strategic opportunity development, contract terms and value negotiation, and cultivating effective relationships across multiple clinical and/or business lines. Successful candidates must possess systemic thinking, adaptability to a diverse portfolio of work, and pursuit of a collaborative, team-centered approach to optimizing results.
Assists in the development of strategic opportunities. This includes collaborating with other Supply Chain functions and resources. Responsible for routine negotiations of various products and/or services across multiple business lines according to clinically-driven and operationally-driven requirements.
Initiates, develops and manages Request For Proposals (RFP) on identified opportunities. Conducts analytical activities with Supply Chain resources. Analyzes and interprets data for opportunities or impacts. Connects strategy to outcomes through a thorough understanding of organizational requirements and supplier motivations.
Necessary skills include routine negotiations, project management, communication, adaptability to a diverse portfolio of work, attention to detail, and knowledge of commonly used Microsoft Office functions. Utilizes a collaborative team-centered approach to forming and maintaining positive working relationships. Participates in development and continuous improvement of Category Management processes.
Adheres to federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to contracting and procurement of equipment, supplies, and services. Plans and implements recurring work using established procedures, conferring with Category Management leadership as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a related field required. In lieu of education requirements, seven years of related work experience in supply chain, contract preparation and/or administration may be considered.
Minimum five years related work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
Supply Chain certification desired.
