Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of design, planning, testing, implementation, growth, evaluation, and daily functional support of Sanford’s accounting systems. As the expert user, provides education, guidance, and support to Sanford staff and affiliates. Creates training tools on new and existing functionality of the system. Conducts workshops and provides individual assistance.
Works closely with users to understand business requirements and ensure configurations properly function to meet business needs across the organization.
Responsible for implementing new modules within the systems that will allow Sanford to become more efficient and agile in its accounting processes. Champions accounting systems improvement efforts, implementations, and upgrades as needed. Coordinates projects and timelines in conjunction with information technology (IT) as required.
Leads in ensuring any future enterprise resource planning (ERP) application systems properly integrate and provides assistance with the implementation of these systems.
Champions' improvement efforts, implementations, and upgrades as needed. Collaborates across departments to ensure the systems run smoothly and proper security access granted. Obtains input and feedback on systems needs from appropriate parties. Interacts with support teams and leadership to resolve issues. Conducts or obtains evaluations of system performance and makes modifications or adjustments as necessary.
Develops roadmap of how Sanford will utilize systems to ensure the organization can operate efficiently and accurately, both now and in the future.

Department Details

Searching for an Accounting Systems Administrator with a comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and excellent technical skills for a growing company in a fast paced environment. This position is instrumental in implementation of Workday Financials, which is a 12-15 month project scheduled to kickoff in Spring 2021.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related degree with an accounting minor required. Master’s degree in accounting is preferred.
Minimum four years of related work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Demonstrates independent, self-directed, autonomy, but ability to work well with multiple individuals at all levels on a regular basis.
Demonstrates leadership skills and abilities. Experience with Lawson highly preferred. Experience as a super user or administrator of accounting systems preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or other professional certification is desirable but not required.
