Sugar Warehouse, TSL&B (shift)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work Duties: This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the Weibul bin, concrete silos, bulk loading and sugar conveying areas to safeguard product quality. Required to clean floors, walls, and equipment in Weibul bins, concrete silos, bulk loading and sugar conveying equipment. This employee will be required to be trained and certified in Forklift use. Use knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices as they apply to storage of food product in performance of all duties. Assist in changing of dust collector filters, mechanical repairs and other such work as needed to keep the sugar storage and conveying systems in working condition. Perform other duties as required. Required to work overtime as needed. Work Environment: Exposed to temperature extremes, noise levels above 85 dB at times, dust, humidity and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders (portable and permanent) and use a small confined elevator to reach areas in the bins. Must be able to work at various heights and work in close-working conditions. Must wear Personal Protection Equipment when required.

Minimum Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or a GED certificate is required. And, individuals are required to take a Combined Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge. Assessment Test Scores for Basic Skills Test: Reading 63% (10 out of 16 correct) Arithmetic 64% (9 out of 14 correct) Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute the duties and tasks defined by this position. Prior manufacturing work experience is desirable. May be required to become certified to operate a forklift. Able to perform work at various heights and work in close-working conditions. Employee must be physically able to perform job duties. Able to maintain good personal hygiene habits in accordance with GMP guidelines. Able to understand and perform basic safety functions in regards to lockout/tagout and confined space. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be able to reference, read and understand how to use MSDS information
