Job Details

Position Information

Position includes preparing, supervising, and cleaning up for laboratory exercises for the Bismarck State College Medical Laboratory Technician program's satellite at Miles Community College, Miles City, Montana. Applicants must have, at the minimum an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician, a valid Montana MLT License, and a valid ASCP certification. Additional responsibilities may include student advising, working with the MLT Program Director and Clinical Coordinator at BSC to design lab exercises, and other duties assigned by the Program Director, Program Coordinator, Health Science Department Chair or the Dean of Current and Emerging Technologies.

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary will be based on degree and credit hours taught.

Minimum Requirements

Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or above.

Montana State Medical Laboratory Technician License or above.

ASCP Certification in a MLT or MLS.

Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.

Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written communication skills.

Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., electronic Calendar and E-mail, and strong Internet familiarity.

Preferred Qualifications

College teaching experience.

Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System.

Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
