Position Description

As a part of the Production Team, the Production Worker is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in order to produce Coca-Cola products. This position is also responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pull orders based on pick tickets to accurately build orders for loading onto delivery trucks.

  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of warehouse area and production equipment.

  • Monitor all product that is both incoming and outgoing for accountability accuracy.

  • Restock and replenish as appropriate.

  • Operate industrial power equipment

  • Stage completed pallets in designated area.

  • Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area.

  • Load and unload designated trailers and/or route trucks.

  • Build orders according to assigned load tickets using industrial power equipment.

  • Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation.

  • Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.

  • Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.

  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.

  • Visually inspect production run and document results.

  • Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.

  • Produce productivity reports.

  • Analyze production line to identify areas for continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for the prevention of widespread breakdown in production.

  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.

    • Operate production equipment in an efficient manner.

      • Watch for potential problems on the production line.

      • Make yourself aware of the schedule and materials needed for the piece of equipment you operate.

    • Maintain cleanliness of production area.

  • Sweep and mop when necessary.

    • Organize damaged goods.

    • Properly shut off fans, glue guns, and machines.

  • Operate forklifts in a safe manner.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

  • Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • 0 - 1 year of general work experience.

  • Prior warehouse/production/equipment service experience preferred.

  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product.

  • Hearing and eyesight, with or without correction, sufficient to perform essential functions of the job.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must be detail oriented, dependable, and responsible.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs.

  • Intermittent physical activity including bending, twisting, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.

  • Exposure to high noise levels and fast moving equipment.

  • Working hours vary daily and include overtime and occasional weekends.

  • Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal or working on small components.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time while working on equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • Hearing protection dependant on specified areas.

  • Face shield and gloves mandatory while filling both propane and CO2.

  • Hair nets if working on open container end of the lines.
