- Robbinsdale Specialty Care Community is a 96 bed facility that provides post-acute rehabilitation services in both our young adult and geriatric communities following a hospitalization or serious illness
- Named by U.S. News as among the best nursing homes for short-term rehab for 2019-2020. Only 20% of over 15,000 locations achieved this top status
- This Part Time position offers great benefits; Vacation, Sick pay, 401k w/match, and many more
- Shift is 300pm to 930pm, eight 6 hour shifts per two weeks
- Evening shifts also have a $0.75 shift differential
Job Responsibilities
- Provides the right medication to the right person at the right time in the right dose and by the right route ensuring all changes in medication are responded to in a timely manner
- Stores medications correctly, cleans and locks med cart or other storage system
- Follows location policy for missed medications, accidentally dropped or spit out by the resident, and medication errors
- Follows up with observation and documentation of resident response to medication received
- Helps residents by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, transportation and vital sign monitoring
- Provides resident centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares
- Handles and disposes of linens, soiled clothing or supplies properly; follows consistent hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment use
Qualifications
- Completion and certification in an accredited nursing assistant training program - CNA
- State approved medication aide course - CMA/TMA
- Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
