The Equipment Technician helps provide delivery and service to customers with Yorhom Medical Essentials equipment. This position ensures manufacturers guidelines and established processes are adhered to in order maintain compliance. The Equipment Technician communicates with Buyers and Coordinator to ensure supply and equipment levels are maintained. The technician completes preventative maintenance and repairs and records them accordingly. The Equipment Technician triages phone calls and assists with other duties as directed.

Essential Job Function
  • Conducts deliveries, pick-ups, and mail outs. Cleans equpment. Monitors the warehousing of parts, products and equipment. Keeps inventory stored in an orderly fashion and ensures area is kept clean. Tracks inventory items, documents inventory numbers of items rented and sold, conducts preventative maintenance of assigned equipment and contacts appropriate staff. Completes required paperwork/documentation and communication.
  • Initiates follow-up visits on non-clinical patients and when equipment problems occur. Provides appropriate set-up, education and support to patient and caregivers for equipment in the home setting per standard operating procedures. Will require physical demands of 40-100 pounds.
  • Provides input and development of marketing plan and participates in marketing activities. Contributes ideas for diversification and prospective revenue services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization

  • Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record

Skils and Knowledge:
  • Experience in medical equipment delivery
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrates the ability to use various software programs
  • Patient care or customer serivce
  • Able to work independantly
  • Trouble shooting skills
