We are seeking Full Time Nursing Assistants / Caregivers to join our team at our Presbyterian Homes and Services (PHS) - Avalon Square community.

As a Nursing Assistant at Avalon Square, you will play a critical role in providing for the physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual wellbeing of older adults. We work as a team to make sure we are delivering the best personal care and services possible. By supporting our resident's Personally Designed Living choices, maintaining the highest standards of care, and meeting all regulatory requirements, we create a work atmosphere where you can take pride in what you do. Every day, our employees can see how impactful their work is on the lives of those we serve! These positions may include working every other weekend and scheduled holidays. Opportunities are available for non-certified applicants and do not require the Nursing Assistant Certification.

The Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA (Resident Assistant) is responsible for the provision of high quality personal care and services to residents to support the Personally Designed Living choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.


  • To be considered for Assisted Living: caregiving experience helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, elder/resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
