Responsibilities

As a Service Center Automotive Technician, you'll perform a wide range of services and duties in our Automotive Service Center. Our services performed depend on your level of experience. We have options for entry level and advanced technicians and pride ourselves with our ongoing training. Our levels of expertise are outlined below:

Tech Level I:
1.) Repair and install tires
2.) Balance wheels
3.) Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts
4.) Perform oil changes

Tech Level II:
1.) Shock/strut installation
2.) Exhaust system installation
3.) Installation of trailer hitches
4.) Transmission fluid exchanges

5.) All Level I duties

Tech Level III:
1.) Repair starting and charging systems
2.) Steering
3.) Suspension
4.) Alignments
5.) Brake system repair

6.) All Level I and Level II duties

Assistant service center manager

1.) All Level 1-3 duties

2.) Management Experience

All levels must demonstrate awareness and compliance with safety and Loss Prevention policies and/or procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must have great communication skills
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
• *Michigan Stores Only* ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications.
