What you will be doing
The Tax Administrator is responsible for filing all required federal and state tax returns and extensions with the applicable taxing authorities in a timely manner. This includes processing and mailing federal and state tax balance due payments and quarterly estimated tax payments, including EFTPS payments, wires, checks, and the associated money movement. This also includes processing backup and foreign withholding payments. As part of these duties, the Tax Administrator is responsible for tracking the status of all returns and payments, as well as organizing the tax filing records.

u2022 Files all required federal and state tax returns and extensions with the applicable taxing authorities in a timely manner.
u2022Processes and mails federal and state tax balance due payments and quarterly estimated tax payments, including EFTPS payments, wires, checks, and the associated money movement.
u2022 Processes backup and foreign withholding payments.
u2022 Tracks the status of all returns and payments, as well as organizing the tax filing records. Investigates and reconciles discrepancies.
u2022Other related duties assigned as needed

What you Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Remain knowledgeable on current tax regulations.

u2022 Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards
u2022 Knowledge of federal, state and local income, use and sales tax concepts, practices and procedures for multiple entities in multiple jurisdictions
u2022 Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
u2022 Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
u2022 Analytical and statistical examination skills
u2022 Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
u2022 Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
u2022 Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
u2022 Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
u2022 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
