Position Summary:

VMI Auditor is a liaison between our customer's order fulfillment needs and our product movement. The VMI Auditor (Vendor Managed Inventory Auditor) is responsible for the accurate management, maintenance and addition of customer product levels using handheld scanners which utilize barcode technology, at various customer facilities. This will require an exceptional listener with excellent time management, verbal communication and presentation skills. Integrity, vision, and dedication are essential for this role.

Reporting Structure:

The team member reports to the VMI Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Professional customer service
  • Logical in thought process and diligent in implementation
  • Use of or an understanding of the ERP operating system (Prophet 21)
  • Knowledge of bin fill systems and VMI operations
  • Ability to communicate to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of VMI operations, with the common goal of putting the customer first
  • Conduct according to the terms and conditions outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Meeting with customers to plan implementation programs and to review satisfaction levels.
  • Working with customer to find system improvements & efficiencies
  • Controlling the processes for bin delivery to customers location
  • Assisting in implementation planning and preparations for new bin fill accounts
  • Participation and managing new program on site implementation
  • On site inventory control at customer locations
  • Driving to and from customer locations
  • Occasional planned travel for training & on site implementations
  • Assist in the design of new technologies that meet the voice of the customer

Education Required:

  • High School degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Infrequent Activities:

  • ISO Compliance
  • Attend Periodic Training where applicable
  • Participating in Cross Functional Special Projects

Skills required for position:

  • Sales/Customer Service experience
  • Logistics experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Basic math skills and writing skills
  • Effective follow-up skills.
  • Highly organized.
